"I will extol Thee, My God, 0 King; and I will bless
Thy name forever and ever. Every day I will bless Thee, and l will praise

another, and shall declare Thy mighty acts."

PURPOSE STATEMENT:
The
Worship Ministry at SCC exists to help the Church exalt her Savior, the Lord
Jesus Christ. Our goal is to lead the congregation into a closer relationship
with God through every aspect of our corporate worship.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
1. Plan the worship service
2. Prepare the body of Christ for worship
3. Pray for the Lord's will to be done
4. Promote the Lord in worship
5. Provide an opportunity for saints to serve one another as
they serve the Lord
6. Please God
Functions
of the Worship Ministry include:
1. Choirs: Involved throughout the year with specials and
singing. The choir is active in Drama presentations that occur during the
Christmas and Easter seasons.
2. Youth Praise & Worship Band: Junior & Senior
High Students can serve by leading the worship during the Peak of the Week
Youth Group Program.
3. Adult Praise Band: Using the musical talents of the
congregation, the Praise Band is an integral part of the worship at SCC.
Committed individuals are invited to participate in playing a variety of
instruments that will enhance and improve the worship of SCC.
4. Adult Praise Team: People with a good ear and a
willingness to lead in a worship setting are encouraged to participate in this
function. A strong commitment is necessary to ensure appropriate, organized and
Spirit led worship before the Lord and the congregation of the SCC.
5. Drama Team: Encourages creativity and outward
expression of Christian life and faith. The Drama Ministry focuses
on Vacation Bible School, Christmas, and Easter productions. These productions
are well-rehearsed programs that bring Biblical stories to life. The Drama
Ministry also provides occasional skits prior to sermons.
6. Communion Preparation: The communion preparation of the
SCC is essential to fulfilling the Apostolic precedent of partaking
of the Lord’s Supper on the first day of each week. People involved in this
ministry serve a vital role in preparing the emblems for our Sunday services.
Typically this ministry is most active on Saturdays.
